TAWNY OWL NEST BOX
I've been having fun during and in between the two Lockdowns, making a Tawny Owl Nest Box to RSPB spec, fixing it in private woodland in Nidderdale, North Yorkshire (with the aid of a tree surgeon) and capturing Trail Cam footage of a Tawny Owl visiting the nest box but I have not been able to return to take pictures from my Hide as Locked-down once again. In April 2021 a Tawny Owl adopted the nest box but failed to attract a mate and abandoned it.

May 2022 - The Tawny Owl Nest Box has been occupied by a female Owl which perched for over 3 hours before taking flight to hunt.
Over the next two months I spent many fruitless hours searching for the Owlet to study its progress and on 3rd August I found it once again and this is the story . . .
