Success in photographing wildlife, landscapes and nature in general can be measured in many ways including lengthy research of likely places to locate the subject, suitable weather conditions and the right time of day to achieve favourable light plus a great deal of patience and with wildlife photography, a lot of luck.

Knowledge of bird and animal behaviour is paramount, you never stop learning in your quest for successful wildlife photography and understanding your equipment and settings is clearly an important factor too.
